Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed by the AppSweep Android application (the "App") provided by Bokeria Studio (the "Company") and how that information is protected. AppSweep helps users find apps they may want to review for cleanup. It does not automatically delete apps or perform bulk app deletion.
1. Information the App Accesses or Processes
Usage Statistics
After the user explicitly grants permission, the App may access Android usage statistics through
the usage access permission (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS), such as the last time each app was used.
This information is used to calculate and display apps that may not have been used recently.
Installed App Information
The App may read information about apps installed on the device, including app names, package names, and whether an app can be launched. This information is used to build cleanup candidate lists and to open Android's system app information screen for the selected app.
Storage Information
The App may check the storage size used by each app to display apps that occupy a large amount of storage. Depending on manufacturer policies, Android version, and app status, storage information for some apps may not be available. In that case, the App may display a status such as "storage check failed."
Local App Settings
The App may store a small amount of settings data on the device, such as ad display mode, permission-related screen state, and temporary state needed to calculate cleanup candidates. This information is used to provide App functionality and is removed when the App is uninstalled or the App data is cleared.
Analytics Information
The App may use Firebase Analytics to process usage statistics needed to improve the service, such as app launches, feature usage flows, selected cleanup filters, permission status, app version, candidate counts, scan duration, and device and operating system information. The Company designs the App not to send installed app lists, app names, package names, individual usage history, or individual app storage information as Firebase Analytics events.
Crash and Diagnostic Information
The App may use Firebase Crashlytics to process crash reports, application-not-responding reports, non-fatal error reports, logs, app version, device and operating system information, and limited custom diagnostic keys such as usage access status, the last selected cleanup filter, scan duration, and cleanup candidate count. This information is used to identify, diagnose, and fix stability issues. The Company designs these diagnostic records not to include installed app lists, app names, package names, individual usage history, or individual app storage information.
Performance Information
The App may use Firebase Performance Monitoring to process performance data such as app start timing, screen rendering performance, network request performance related to Firebase and Google services, and a custom cleanup scan performance trace. Custom performance trace attributes are limited to broad values such as the selected cleanup filter, and do not include installed app lists, package names, usage history, or individual app storage information.
Advertising Information
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. Google AdMob may process information needed for ad delivery and measurement, such as ad requests, ad impressions, ad clicks, device information, approximate location, and advertising identifiers. Personalized ads and advertising identifier usage may depend on Google and Android settings, Google's policies, and the user's consent status.
The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request, record, and manage advertising consent and privacy choices where required. If privacy options are available for the user's region or device state, the App may show a privacy options control so the user can review or change advertising choices.
Information Provided When Contacting Us
If a user contacts the Company by email or another method, the Company may process the user's email address, inquiry details, and any information the user directly provides in order to respond.
2. Purposes of Processing
The Company uses information for the following purposes:
- To calculate and display unused apps, large apps, and recommended cleanup candidates
- To open Android's system app information screen for apps selected by the user
- To check permission status and provide permission guidance
- To display ads and measure advertising performance
- To request and manage advertising consent and privacy choices
- To understand App usage flows and improve features, stability, and performance
- To diagnose crashes, application-not-responding events, non-fatal errors, and performance issues
- To respond to user inquiries and comply with legal obligations
3. On-Device Processing and Limits on External Transfer
AppSweep calculates cleanup candidates on the user's device. The Company does not upload installed app lists, app names, package names, usage history, or storage information to its own servers, and does not sell that information.
However, third-party services such as Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, Google AdMob, Google Play services, and Google's User Messaging Platform may process App usage statistics, aggregated feature events, ad requests, consent state, device information, diagnostic information, crash reports, and performance information according to their own policies. The Company limits analytics, diagnostic, and performance events so that sensitive app list and usage history information used for cleanup calculations is not included.
4. Third-Party Services
The App may use the following third-party services. Each service processes information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
- Google Privacy Policy
- Google Advertising Privacy and Terms
- Firebase Privacy and Security
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Performance Monitoring
- Google AdMob
- Google User Messaging Platform and AdMob Privacy
5. Permissions and Access
| Permission or Access | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Usage access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) |
To check the last usage time of each app and calculate cleanup candidates | Used only after the user grants permission directly in Android settings. |
| Installed app lookup | To build cleanup candidate lists and open app information screens | Some apps may not be visible depending on Android package visibility policies. |
| Internet access | To support Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Google AdMob, Google Play services, and advertising consent management | Not used to send app lists, usage history, or storage information to the Company's servers. |
6. Retention
- App settings and temporary information stored on the device are removed when App data is cleared or the App is uninstalled.
- Information processed by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Google AdMob, Google Play services, and Google's User Messaging Platform is retained according to Google's policies and settings.
- Inquiry emails may be retained for as long as necessary to respond to inquiries and manage related records.
7. User Choices and Rights
- Users can grant or revoke usage access permission in Android settings.
- If usage access permission is not granted, cleanup candidate calculation may be limited.
- Users can change ad personalization and advertising ID settings in device settings.
- Where available, users can review or change advertising privacy choices through the App's privacy options control.
- Users can delete locally stored App settings by clearing App data or uninstalling the App.
- Privacy-related inquiries can be sent to the contact address below.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not primarily directed to children, and the Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an inquiry or another method, please contact the Company so appropriate action can be taken.
9. International Processing
Google services such as Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play services, and Google's User Messaging Platform may process information on servers located outside the user's country of residence. Such processing is carried out according to each service's terms, policies, and applicable legal safeguards.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Company may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in laws, the service, or third-party services. When changes are made, the last updated date on this page will be revised.
