Privacy Policy
Short version: PDF Splitter processes the PDF files you select on your device. The app does not upload your PDF files, split page files, or ZIP archives for processing. The app uses Google AdMob for ads and Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage measurement and crash diagnostics when Firebase is configured. Technical error reports may contain file paths, as explained below.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to PDF Splitter, provided by Bokeria (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
If you have questions, contact us at appsupport@bokeriastudio.com.
2. PDF Files and Split Results
The app lets you select a PDF file, read its page count, split it into separate PDF page files, and share the results as individual PDFs or a ZIP archive.
Your selected PDF files, generated page files, and generated ZIP archives are handled locally on your device. We do not upload these files to our servers, and we do not operate a server that stores your documents.
Split files and ZIP archives are created and shared only when you choose to create or share them through your device or another app.
3. Information the App Handles
The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address.
Depending on how you use the app, the app may handle the following information on your device:
- PDF files that you select through the system file picker or share to the app.
- PDF metadata needed to operate the feature, such as page count.
- Generated split PDF files and ZIP archives that you choose to create and share.
- Local app state, such as selected file state, split progress, and ad consent state.
This information is used to open PDFs, split pages, create export files, and operate the app experience.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services provided by Google. These services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
Google AdMob
Version 1.1.4 and later: after you use Google’s required privacy options, the app reads the current advertising permission again, stops or renews banner requests, and discards old ads and their callbacks. When the choice changes, later requests use the updated permission. Earlier versions did not fully reapply every choice until a restart. These controls do not disable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics and do not erase information already received by a provider.
The app uses Google AdMob to display ads and manage consent choices where required. Google AdMob may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, app interaction data, ad performance data, crash or diagnostic data, and approximate location inferred from device or network information.
The current iOS release does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and does not have access to the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) without that permission. Google AdMob may still display ads and process the non-IDFA information described above according to your advertising consent choices. Google advertising consent is separate from Apple tracking permission.
Google may use this information to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, improve its services, and comply with legal requirements. Depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
Learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Firebase Services
When Firebase is configured, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase for usage measurement and Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics. Analytics may receive navigation and automatically generated app events, app and device information, identifiers, and approximate usage patterns. Crashlytics may receive crash or exception messages, stack traces, app and operating-system information, and device or installation identifiers.
We do not deliberately attach PDF contents, generated files, file names, file paths, or share-target names to analytics events or crash reports. Crash reports include original exception messages and stack traces; technical details in an exception may contain a file name or file path. The app does not upload your PDF or ZIP files for processing.
The app does not provide separate in-app switches for Firebase analytics or crash reporting. Advertising privacy choices do not turn these Firebase services off.

5. How Information Is Used
Information handled by the app or collected through third-party services may be used to:
- Open and read selected PDF files on your device.
- Split PDFs into separate page files.
- Create ZIP archives and share generated files when you choose to export.
- Show ads and manage ad privacy choices.
- Measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud or abuse.
- Understand general app usage and improve the app.
- Diagnose technical issues, analyze crashes, and improve stability.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your PDF files, generated page files, ZIP archives, file names, or file paths.
The app does not upload your PDF contents, generated page files, or ZIP archives to Google AdMob, Firebase services, or our own servers for processing. We do not deliberately attach file names, file paths, or share-target names to those services; original error reports may nevertheless contain technical file details as described above.
Google may process data collected through Google AdMob and Firebase services according to Google’s policies and the settings that apply to your device, region, and consent choices.
When you choose another app from the system share sheet, that app may process the files you share according to its own privacy policy.
7. App Permissions and File Access
The app may use operating system file access features so you can select PDF files, create split PDF files and ZIP archives, or share exported files.
The app accesses files you select or share with it for the purpose of reading, splitting, exporting, and sharing those files. It does not scan all files on your device.
On Android, the app uses internet and network state permissions for ads, consent, and Google services. On iOS, the app uses standard document picker and share sheet features for file selection and sharing.
8. Advertising Choices
You may be able to manage advertising identifiers, ad personalization, consent choices, and tracking choices through your device settings.
- On Android, review your Google and privacy settings related to ads and the advertising ID.
- The current iOS release does not show an ATT permission prompt. Where Google requires advertising privacy options, use the app’s Privacy settings to review your advertising consent choices. These choices do not grant Apple tracking permission.
Google also provides information about ad personalization controls at https://adssettings.google.com/.
9. Data Retention
As verified on October 19, 2026, the app’s Firebase-linked Google Analytics property has its event-data retention setting at 2 months and its user-data retention setting at 14 months. Google applies the user-data period to key events. The user-data retention period resets on new user activity. These settings do not affect most standard reports based on aggregated data and do not determine retention for other services. See Google Analytics data retention for the scope of these controls.
We do not retain your PDF files, generated page files, or ZIP archives on our servers because they are not uploaded to our servers.
Files exported by the app remain where you choose to save or share them on your device or in another app. You can delete those files using your device or the app where they are stored.
Local app state may remain on your device until you delete the app, clear app data, or reset the relevant device storage. Third-party services may retain data according to their own retention policies.
10. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review the issue.
11. Security
We design the app so PDF splitting and export happen on your device. However, no device, app, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for keeping your device, files, and shared documents secure.
12. International Processing
Third-party services used by the app, including Google AdMob and Firebase services, may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those services process data according to their own policies and applicable legal frameworks.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
Your continued use of the app after the updated Privacy Policy is posted means you accept the updated policy.
